I was thinking back on the session, and could not decide which moments were better—the dancing (they had some pretty fun moves), or Jeff’s amazingly funny faces! :) Watch the slideshow if you want to them! I think one of my favorite moments is when the mallard duck couple came swimming by to check out Jeff and Vicki! Thank you both for a fun and relaxing evening shooting! I am so looking forward to the wedding this fall!

I can’t even begin to talk about how much fun it was to shoot this e-session with Rose and Jessy. They drove up to Bellingham to shoot photos at Marine Park, where they were engaged! :) The tide was super low, so we had fun splashing and playing in the bay. After we were all dried up, we went to this fun wall to finish off the photo shoot. I had stumbled across it while driving one day, and noticed that someone had cut a heart shape into a wall of ivy. I knew immediately that I wanted to take Rose and Jessy to the “Heart.” As soon as that finished a train came by. I was able to photograph a special kiss with the train blowing its horn in the background (cough cough…totally planned of course… cough cough). Thanks Rose and Jessy for a wonderful afternoon. I hope you enjoy your photos!

It was a beautiful Saturday morning that I spent shooting photos for Lindsey, Andrew and Dymphna. Who is Dymphna you might ask? Well, she is the pet chicken (yes…I did say chicken). It was a beautiful Saturday morning that I spent shooting photos for Lindsey, Andrew and Dymphna. Who is Dymphna you might ask? Well, she is the pet chicken (yes…I did say chicken). After the initial shock wore off in regards to having a chicken as a pet, I grew very curious about having a pet chicken. I can assure you, Dymphna was super soft, fun, tame, and potty trained…well, sort of potty trained. Lindsey is an excellent seamstress, and sews diapers for her Dymphna. She learned how by purchasing diapers from chickendiapers.com. I didn’t know there was such thing as chicken diapers (let alone a website for them) until I met Dymphna! I love it when people bring props and pets to their photo shoot. Though I cannot always guarantee perfect pet portraits, they sure do make the event fun! Lindsey and Andrew, I had a wonderful time walking along the bay with you. And even though we couldn’t find your rock, maybe now you can have the “bench” whenever you visit! Enjoy the photos!

We had so much fun goofing off during our photoshoot at the Kubanda House. I photographed Mike and Susan with both their sons, and their girlfriends. Missing from the photos are their daughter and son-in-law living in Ohio.  I thought about photoshopping them in, but decided against it! :) Susan has also been battling a very aggressive form of breast cancer, and received her bi-lateral mastectomy earlier this week. She is up and walking around, and trying to do chores–despite dr.’s orders.  Luckily her sister flew in from Texas to help out over the next few weeks. I was able to photograph Susan’s head after all the Chemotherapy, and I think she is still stunningly beautiful even w/o hair! :) I’ve posted a few of those photos below. Enjoy the Kubandas: Mike, Susan, Gabe and Adoree, Carman and Mandy!

Gabe is in a LA band, Letters Burning, and they have a new EP “Simple Thoughts and Tragedy”, produced by Sean O’Keefe (Falloutboy, hawthorne heights, plain white t’s, less than jake) which was just released! :)

I am excited to shoot their wedding, as I’ve been warned that it will be big! Thanks Jodi and Brian for a fun afternoon shooting, enjoy your photos, and be sure to check out the slideshow below.

In other news, I’m heading off to Las Vegas for a week as I attend WPPI. I’ll be joined by Aaron and Megs Nelson of Evantide Photography, and Amy Parsons of Amy Parsons Photography. This will definitely be an adventure….I’ll let you know how it goes!

Yes, another cold stormy winter day of shooting! I love harsh weather in photos, but I need to make sure everyone is keeping warm and toasty at the same time. It was a joy to capture the Schmitt family on digital film. :) Josh and Heather have 2 super sweet and beautiful daughters Faith and Ryleigh. I was so stunned to see such vibrant beautiful blue eyes on these girls, but that is probably because Josh and Heather have stunning blue eyes themselves! Just look! After a few family shots, I took Josh and Heather out for some more romantic photos! ;) They were up for anything, no matter how chilly it was! Enjoy….

Ok, so I told Heather to kiss Josh, and put her leg up at the same time…something was lost in translation. She gave me this…

I was hoping for something more like this… :)

Ok…I had way too much fun shooting Amanda and Justin. They are crazy funny, and I found my self laughing out loud while looking at all thier photos—most of which were funny faces at the camera!
